Comprehensive Dental Procedures & Treatments

Our dental procedures can restore damaged teeth, create a beautiful smile, and maintain outstanding oral health for you and your family. At Healthy Smiles Dental Care, we recognize that every patient is different, and that includes the health issues they may have. Before prescribing any particular dental procedures, Dr. Sulbha Midha meets with each patient to discuss their goals and health concerns. We welcome Mason residents to call (513) 339-1032 to make an appointment. We can discuss your preferences regarding your smile, check for cavities or infections, and decide on the best course of action during your examination.

Root Canal Treatment

At Healthy Smiles Dental Care, we regularly perform a root canal endodontic treatment to remove infections and save our patients’ teeth.

Alternatively, the infected tooth may need to be extracted if a root canal endodontic surgery is unsuccessful. This is crucial to stop the virus from spreading. The tooth will require replacement after it is extracted. A dental bridge, dental implants, or wearing a denture are the available alternatives for doing this. All of these are workable options, but they need more time, and because the procedures require many phases, the recovery period is more extended. Thus, one potential answer is having Dr. Sulbha Midha try to salvage your tooth with root canal endodontics. Make an appointment or give Healthy Smiles Dental Care a call at (513) 339-1032 to find out more about this option.

Tooth Extraction

At Healthy Smiles Dental Care, we prioritize preventive care above all else, but may also need to pull out teeth if need be. We are constantly searching for methods to preserve your oral health in good condition so you don't need an extraction. To maintain your teeth healthy and undamaged, we will treat gum disease, cavities, and infections to the best of our abilities, do regular tooth cleanings, and talk with you about eating a nutritious diet.

The Process of Having a Tooth Extraction

We can take a few different approaches if you need a tooth out. Initially, we shall numb the oral region to prevent any immediate discomfort.

You will experience pressure throughout the process, but other than that, you will feel at ease and relaxed.

Dr. Sulbha Midha can remove your tooth from its socket using dental instruments if it has erupted and broken through the gums.

Afterward, the area will be cleaned carefully, and gauze will be applied to halt the bleeding.

Oral surgery could be required to extract a tooth if it is impacted or still below the surface, as is often the case with wisdom teeth.

We usually give an incision in the gums to generate a flap when performing this operation in our dental clinic.

The flap is gradually raised to gain access to the impacted tooth.

We can often remove the tooth out of its socket by wriggling it. But first, any bone or tissue covering the tooth must be removed. It may be necessary to shatter the tooth into multiple pieces and remove it if it is recalcitrant.

The area will be meticulously cleansed after the tooth has been extracted from the socket, and then the flap will be repositioned and sutured into place.

Next, gauze is applied to stop the bleeding.
